A Look at the Book #251

The Devotional
What does Papa “J” Say?
To the soul that starves, every bitter word is sweet. Be a wise son or daughter and even the rebuke will be pleasant words to the hearing ear. Proverbs 13:1
Where would we go to find people today who will stand in the gap. You know those who will stand between good and evil, righteousness and unrighteousness, conservatism and liberalism, morality and immorality. The list no doubt could fill the page. If this were not worth writing about I would just go golfing. Folks, the day is coming when we will be rebuilding the United States of America, but it may not be like your plans or mine. It may come as a thief in the night and then the line between righteousness and unrighteousness will be very clear. So where will you be when all of this goes down. Maybe you will be a slave in some foreign country, maybe to old to care or maybe to young to comprehend. One thing for certain; to survive you will need to know where to find righteousness and people who long for righteousness. You will need to know the God of Righteousness and Justice. The One who will fight your battles with you while you stand with a hammer in one hand and your sword in the other. Now, I am not talking about the hammer and sickle of communism, this causes fear much like the fear we experience today, but that of when Nehemiah and Ezra rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 4:1-23, (verse 20).
The Gospel of John
John 12:20-28 This is a major turning point in the life of Jesus. Up to this point the LORD has indicated that He would die as a sacrifice for the sin of the mankind (the world). The fact that certain Greeks came to worship at the Jewish Passover is an awareness to Jesus that the time of His departure from earth and His return to His Throne in Heaven is at hand. At this point Jesus is only a few hours from fulfilling the His passion as the LAMB of God who takes away SIN! Halleluiah, Praise the Name of Jesus, Praise His Holy Name.
Rejected by the Jews and being sought out by Greeks. Jesus makes it clear that the gospel of Faith in Christ will be extended to the; “whosoever will believe will be saved”. The joy that surrounds this truth is overwhelming, isn't it? God who is “Faithful” sends to earth His Son who is like minded in faithfulness and lives among unfaithful peoples to restore faith in God. Satan is defeated. Praise the LORD!
Then He says; “Truly, My Seed of Faith must be planted in the ground, like a seed of wheat. This faith will rise again and along with it will be more faith. Much faith! The truth is that this death and resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ is still producing new faith everyday. ONE GRAIN OF FAITH and the faithful follow Him, that where He is we serve. Are you serving today? Or, are you somewhere in the tares? Be of good cheer. God is well please with His Son, Jesus!
