Take Note #65

Psalm 119:45 Shackled is not an experience for the most of us, the weight of the chain to drag; we do not know. But there is this area of the mind, a mental attitude so to speak where my spirit feels the weight of sin, I've no liberty to move about. Ah! I will seek the precepts of God, and He will set me free!

Good Morning

Here are some questions. We might admit that God is necessary in our lives, but is He enough? Are we failing to see that He meets all our needs? (Psalm 32:6-7)) Is our weakness over life a result of being burned out?(Psalm 32:8-9) Does the weight of troubles cast an unwanted shadow over our life? (Psalm 32:10-11). It is not easy for us to admit that most of our day is spent ignoring the truth that God will be the only trustworthy source of victory. He alone provides; victory over sin, despair, lose, failure, pain, suffering, life, death, persecution and many more things that can develop into stumbling blocks that not only is God necessary in our lives, but that with Him in our live our cup is not just full, but runs over the top (Psalm 23:5). The thirsty soul will seek refreshment from God because He alone is the genuine contentment that provides the quenching of peace in the soul and the satisfying joy of His personal touch in you life. We can lose sight that God is not only necessary, but He is also enough. With Him we are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:37-39)

Acts 13

Acts 13:42-45 There is such a joy that overcomes those who are converted by faith, the soul receives its very first taste of the grace of God. If spiritual leaders fail to direct our hearts to the grace of God we can and often do fall away from grace and end up involved in a faith that is based on works, or some other religious practice that fails to produce a framework of the grace of God. (Titus 2:11-15)

Acts 13:46-47 The nation of Israel rejected the commandment of God to be evangelists to the nations around them. We cannot say that we are doing any better. The conditions of the world around us would show that we fail as well. Oh! We send out missionaries, have satellite communication, Internet, the blue tooth, blackberry and who knows what else, but well over ninety percent of these forms of communication is use to promote evil, very little good. Only the missionary have beautiful feet.

Acts 13:48-52 We are so happy to be saved and we should be, but I see that the joy of this is quickly turned aside by the slightest persecution. But, it is necessary from time to time to shake the dust off our heals and move on. When the opposition is strong, it is necessary to move forward, not retreat, to be a disciple who is full of joy and experiencing no fear is someone who is willing to challenge us to keep in the grace of God, endure the hardships and fight the good fight of faith.
